A walk to remember, a book written by the amazing author Nicholas Sparks, my absolute favorite author.

Page 118- 130.

When Landon walked Jamie home, his best friend Eric and his girlfriend came up next to them in a car, they were on their way to a party. 
Landon was a bit ashamed that he was following Jamie home, in fact he didn't really want to follow her home, but he didn't have the heart to say no when she's asking for it. Jamie is a good girl and never do anything mean to anyone, she always brings her bible and always wear the same brown shirt and long skirt. Landon used to be cool, party and spend time with his friends, but after been giving the main role in the school-play, Landon didn't have the time. 
You could tell Eric was making fun of Landon and Jamie, and Jamie couldn't understand the ironic tone in his voice while speaking to theme. 
Eric and his girl went of the party and Jamie started asking Landon questions. Landon wasn't in a good mood and raised his voice, telling her the truth, that he didn't wanna walk her home, be in the school-play and stop spending time with his friends. Jamie didn't say anything to defend herself, she thanked for his company on the way home and went home. 

The next morning, the premier of the school-play, Landon excused for the thing he told her last night and begging for that she would forgive his apologize. Jamie, as I told you, was very kind and forgave him, he promised he would make up to her.
